DREAM

Find a need and fill it, find a hurt and heal it.

You are valuable.

In the past two months, we have been able to serve over 3,000 individuals through our outreaches in response to COVID-19. These outreaches have focused on providing food and hygiene products to low- and middle-income families affected by the economic impact of COVID-19.

However, it soon became apparent that another demographic was suffering from the effects of COVID-19: victims of human trafficking. Because strip clubs were closed down to account for social distancing, the number of young men and women being actively trafficked has skyrocketed.

As a result, the Phoenix Dream Center began an outreach specifically to assist those individuals.

With the help of individuals and community partners, we were able to rent a small space in the heart of an area known for its human sex trafficking. There, we provide freshly cooked meals, showers, and clean clothing to young men and women who are actively being trafficked, or who at risk of being trafficked.

Our goal is simple: to show these young men and women that they are valuable.

This unique outreach is staffed by specially-trained volunteers, as well as survivors from our own Human Trafficking Program.

Jackie, who oversees the outreach, commented, “It’s truly amazing to see our survivors serve the young men and women still out there. We let them know that that there is hope and they do have options.”

In less than two months, we have been able to reach over 100 young men and women through this unique outreach into the forgotten of our community.

If you want to be a part of this impactful outreach, consider donating here.  We are always in need of funds to purchase food for our home cooked meals… hygiene products to give out… or new clothing to try on.

Thank you for helping us find a need to fill, to find a hurt to heal.
