Matthew and Michelle have an extensive background in outreach ministry. Matthew started in 2002 at the original Lord’s Gym in Roseville, CA where he co-directed Lord’s Gym basketball which served over 600 kids weekly in their “Build Your Skills Basketball and Mentorship Program.” He also worked with the Metro Kids Truck and Adopt-A-Block program in South Sacramento. Matthew developed a love for the kids in these programs and went forth to Bible school to become a pastor.

Michelle landed her first job with the National Basketball Association out of grad school in Marketing. She also coached college basketball at the College of Charleston as an assistant coach for 4 years. In 2008, she felt called by God to the Los Angeles Dream Center to ministry. She entered the Master’s Commission program for 10 months and then went on staff with Dream Records as Marketing Director. She transitioned jobs at The Dream Center and served as the Public Relations Director for two years.

Matthew and Michelle met in 2010 while at the Los Angeles Dream Center under the leadership of Pastor Matthew Barnett. They were paired to run a 3-on-3 basketball tournament in South Central and through this outreach saw one another’s heart and passion to give hope and share the love of Jesus to those around.
